Montana Affordable Law is an affiliate of Affordable Law, P.C., located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, which is a well established and respected consumer advocacy law firm. Affordable Law, P.C. handles cases throughout the state of New Mexico. Its website is located at www.leshinlawoffice.com.
Previous to its association with Affordable Law, PC, Mt Affordable Law's beginnings date back to the
early 1950s when John's late father established a law practice in eastern Montana, and a established a
stellar reputation as an caring and compassionate advocate for the underdog so to speak and was a champion of consumer rights. He even introduced consumer rights legislation while serving in the Montana legislature. His legal excellence was recognized in such publications as The Best Lawyers in America (1989-1990 edition).
This passion for justice was instilled in John who followed in his late father's footsteps and who now has 27 years of experience as attorney in a variety of settings in three states (Montana, New Mexico and Minnesota) and two countries (US and Singapore). In addition, John graduated with distinction at the top of his law school LL.M program.

John started out his legal career in Montana working for his late father and in 1994 he was elected a county attorney in an eastern Montana county and re-elected in 1998. During this time, John also engaged in the private practice of law and did estate planning, handled issues related to agricultural law, handled real estate transactions and even established a real estate title services company.
Eventually, John found his way to New Mexico where he initially worked as a prosecutor handling a wide-variety of criminal cases, including homicide and high profile cases. In one his last criminal cases, he was responsible for prosecuting what has been described as the largest prison riot in New Mexico in the last 20 years. John continues to practice criminal law and has a contract from the Law Office of the Public Defender to handle homicide cases across the state.
In 2007, John left New Mexico and went to work in Singapore where he engaged in estate planning for American expats and handled trusts for ultrawealthy clients from all over the world. While in Singapore, the Singaporean government granted John a relatively rare license to act as a trust manager.
In 2017, John returned to New Mexico basically picking where he left off and eventually became involved in bankruptcy work, debtor and consumer rights, estate planning and litigation work.
